Always fun to play a place for the first time! Check us out at the Dominion House Friday the 13th! Hope I can sing through the hockey mask.
Recently did some recording for the good people at Mano a Mano Radio for their “Electrifying Adventures of DJ Jeff E Jeff” Webcomic, and got a mention in Bryan Reigate’s podcast (@~18:00), along with members of 54-40, Limblifter, Age of Electric, Cursed Arrows, Hot Hot Heat, and The Gay Nineties.
So many of my favourite musicians come from, or have a strong connection to Austin. None better than Stevie Ray Vaughan, so it was great to get a chance to visit his statue along the shore of the Colorado River. I’ll never forget the first time I heard him play – it literally changed my life. Pretty cool that a city has statues of SRV and Willie Nelson – beats dead politicians any day in my books!
Also got a chance to check out the absolutely killer B3 player, Red Young. Great to be in a city that prides itself on live music, and rightly so!
The Boathouse in Victoria Park has been an iconic live music venue in Kitchener for what seems like forever. Now that it’s back open, I’m pumped to be playing there April 24. It’s going to be a fun night, join us if you can!
